Autonational raw material treatment: a careful concept
EPS beads are required for the production of EPS cups. The care exercised in the EPS raw material treatment plan has a significant effect on the production process and final cup quality. With this in mind, Autonational developed a hi-tech concept for raw material treatment.
EPS beads are a vulnerable and “living” material. They require a careful pre-treatment in stages.
The proper approach in the pre-treatment delivers tangible advantages later in the EPS cup production process. For 95% the EPS beads consist of polystyrene and for 5% of other components. As soon as the raw material has been pre-foamed, the ratio changes. This radical change demonstrates the importance of an impeccable raw material treatment.
